This internship was my introduction to cloud engineering and AI-assisted financial data products. I connected internal account data with an external analysis service, then transformed its output into information that online banking experiences could use.
The project taught me how to design around API contracts, normalize imperfect responses, and make derived data useful to downstream product teams.
Selected impact
- Developed AWS Lambda functions to format account data from internal APIs for analysis by an external vendor.
- Automated extraction of recurrence, amount, merchant, and related fields from vendor responses.
- Prepared structured data for digital insights including spending tracking and categorization.
